— RESOURCE LIBRARY

Everything you need to get
started.

Your meals are on their way — or maybe already in your fridge. This is your go-to guide for everything you need to know: how to heat them, how to store them, what the labels mean, and where to find answers as we grow this library together.

You Just Got Your First Delivery

Here's exactly what to do

Step 01 🧊

Get them in the fridge

As soon as your meals arrive, move them from the cooler bag into your refrigerator. They’re delivered fresh — never frozen — so keeping them cold right away is the most important thing you can do.

Keep your fridge at or below 40°F for optimal freshness..

Step 02 📋

Check your instruction sheet

Every order comes with an instruction sheet on the outside of your cooler bag. It lists this week’s meals, your macros, heating instructions, and expiration dates. Keep it handy for the week.

Macros also available anytime at puremealprepsd.com/macros

Step 03 🏷

Check the label on each meal

Each container has a label with the meal name, expiration date, and any dietary tags — like Gluten-Free or Dairy-Free. If a meal is naturally GF or DF without modification, it may not have a tag — it just already meets that standard.

See our guide on reading your GF/DF labels

Step 04 🐟

Plan your seafood first

If your week includes a seafood dish — salmon, shrimp, or fish — plan to eat those earlier in the week. Seafood has a naturally shorter shelf life than other proteins and is best enjoyed in the first few days after delivery.

All other meals are fresh up to 7 days refrigerated.

Step 05 ♻️

Return your cooler bag

Our insulated cooler bags and ice packs are reusable. Leave them out for your next delivery driver to collect, or bring them back on your next delivery. Returning them helps us keep costs down and reduces waste.

Step 06 🎉

Enjoy your meals

Crack the lid slightly, microwave for 2 minutes, and that’s it. No cooking, no cleanup. Your order repeats automatically next week — if you need to skip or pause, do it before Thursday at 4pm through your account.

HEATING YOUR MEALS

Two minutes to gourmet

Heating most meals

1
Crack the lid slightly — don't remove it fully. This keeps moisture in and prevents the meal from drying out.
2
Microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Check and add 30-second increments if needed.
3
Let it sit for 30 seconds after heating — the container holds heat and the temperature will even out.
4
The container is dishwasher-safe — toss it in the top rack or recycle after use.

🥗 Meals with salad

Remove or set aside the salad component first. Heat only the protein and warm items, then plate the salad chilled on the side. This keeps greens crisp and the protein hot.

🍔 Burgers

Heat the patty separately from the bun. A soggy bun is the enemy — keep it out of the microwave and assemble after heating for the best texture.

🐟 Seafood dishes

Seafood heats fast and can dry out. Start with 1 minute 30 seconds and check before adding more time. Lower power (70–80%) works well for fish.

MEAL STORAGE

Keep them fresh all week

❄️ Refrigerator – Up to 7 days

Store your meals in the refrigerator at 40°F or below as soon as they’re delivered. They stay fresh for up to 7 days — so a Sunday delivery lasts you through Saturday at minimum.

🧊 Freezer – Up to 1 month

Want to save meals for later in the month? Freeze them — they’ll keep for up to 1 month. We recommend freezing meals from day 5 onward if you won’t eat them before the expiration date. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.

🐠 Seafood – Eat early in the week

Seafood dishes — salmon, shrimp, and fish — have a naturally shorter shelf life than poultry or beef. Plan to eat these within the first 3–4 days of delivery for best taste and food safety.
